The health, well-being, and education of our students and families is top priority for the International Falls School District. We wouldn’t be able to do that without also taking care of our amazing staff. The Bronco Wellness Committee is dedicated to serving the staff and students within our buildings. We were happy to host a potato bar sponsored by recent donations on Wednesday at the end of the day for all staff at FES, FHS, and the bus garage. Thank you to all our staff for your contributions day in and day out. Bronco Pride.

🚨SWAG ALERT🚨 Thursday, October 5th This promises to be a great battle between neighboring teams with many fun activities to raise awareness for mental health. Any school staff that visits our table at Spike Stigma on Thursday and presents a current school staff ID will receive a special Tumbler to raise awareness for mental health. Supplies are limited so make sure you get to our table right away! Perfect for in the classroom or on the go, sport your support for mental health all year long! Did you know that teachers and other school staff are integral in supporting mental health of their students? They are often the first to see signs or symptoms of mental health diagnoses. While not therapists, often students trust and in confide in them. They may be the one that reaches out to the Crisis Line on their behalf and notifies parents of the student's difficulties. Like all adults in kids' lives, they have a very important role to play for mental health💚

We hope that everyone is gearing up for the "Spike Stigma" volleyball game on Thursday, October 5th at Falls High School. We will have items promoting Mental Health Awareness that we will be handing out to fans but supplies are limited. We want to invite you to wear your Bronco and Viking gear and add in some green to show your support. Mental Health impacts everyone. If you are not experiencing symptoms of a mental health diagnosis yourself, statistically, someone you care about is. Nearly half of those experiencing mental health symptoms do not receive treatment. Stigma around mental health is one of the most commonly reported reasons why people do not seek treatment. Mark your calendars and get there early! 💚”

Good Afternoon, A few minutes before noon today a teacher reported that a couple students viewed a bomb threat written on a stall in the West End boy’s bathroom of Falls High School. Administration immediately responded and law enforcement was here very quickly. It was specific to a location. That location was cleared and swept by law enforcement. Nothing was found and consensus is that it is not credible. The investigation continues and we want families aware that every situation will be taken seriously. School will remain in session.

Mark your calendars. Northland Counseling is sponsoring SPIKE STIGMA for the October 5th Volleyball game @ Falls High School Gym. Wear green that evening and special events at the game. See their post below. "We have teamed up with the International Falls Broncos and Littlefork-Big Falls Vikings to Spike Stigma! Join us at the Falls High School Gym on Thursday October 5th at 7pm to raise mental health awareness. Wear your green to show your support and cheer your team on. Northland staff will be there with information, resources, and goodies to hand out to fans. Mental Health matters and it's affecting our youth more than ever. -According to NAMI, 50% of lifetime mental illness begins by age 14. -1 in 6 youth experience a mental illness each year. -Suicide is the second leading cause of death among people aged 10-14. -1 in 5 adults experience mental illness each year. -Roughly 50% of youth with a mental health diagnosis receive treatment. -Depression is a leading cause of disability worldwide. -The average delay between onset of symptoms and treatment is 11 years. Mental health affects everyone and we've teamed up with the Broncos and Vikings to help spread the word that help is available and there is no shame in seeking treatment. Stay tuned for more info to come!💚"
