About Us

We as food service professionals “thank you” for the opportunity to serve your child(ren). Our school menus provide a variety of choices that accommodate student preferences as well as meeting the guidelines established by USDA. The intent of the breakfast and lunch meal guidelines is to promote the consumption of fruits, vegetables, legumes and whole grains. All the menus are analyzed to ensure they meet the established USDA guidelines.

Application for Educational Benefits

WE NEED YOU!

APPLICATION FOR EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS

Would you like to make a difference in your child’s school? Well, here’s how!

Every year your family receives a Application for Educational Benefits. It is important to fill out this form and return it to school for two reasons:

  • Children from families that earn below a certain income level can receive educational benefits (Qualification for assistance is based on household size and income as determined by USDA). Applicants that qualify will receive free lunch and breakfast. We want to help your child eat a healthy balanced diet. Studies have shown that they enjoy the benefits of improved attentiveness and cognition, and have more energy to perform their best.

  • Applications are used to match funding our school receives for resources for students such as books and classroom furniture.

The application is easy to fill out and easy to understand. Also, you do not have to worry about your information being shared with others because application information is CONFIDENTIAL. Students who receive educational benefits are not identified. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the school’s front office. Some parents are concerned about listing income amounts and social security numbers on the application. Any personal information you provide will not be shared. Your information will only be used to determine your child’s eligibility for the school meal programs.

Please take a few minutes to fill out this form so that your child may qualify for these important benefits.

We encourage applying for your Educational Benefits Application online this year. It will be contactless and still confidential. To get started, sign into your Skyward Family Access Account. Select your students name, click on the Foodservice tab, then Applications and Add Application. Families are encouraged to complete the Application for Educational Benefits, as it helps both them and the school district. This form must be completed each year. Paper applications are mailed to each household in August, or in your child’s school office. You can click on the link below, print, fill out and return it to your child's school office.
