We as food service professionals “thank you” for the opportunity to serve your child(ren). Our school menus provide a variety of choices that accommodate student preferences as well as meeting the guidelines established by USDA. The intent of the breakfast and lunch meal guidelines is to promote the consumption of fruits, vegetables, legumes and whole grains. All the menus are analyzed to ensure they meet the established USDA guidelines. Please see the links for the elementary and secondary menus.
WE NEED YOU!
Would you like to make a difference in your child’s school? Well, here’s how!
Every year your family receives a Free and Reduced Price Meal Application. It is important to fill out this form and return it to school for two reasons:
- The application lets us know if your child is eligible for free or reduced price school meals. Children from families that earn below a certain income level can receive free lunch and free breakfast at school. APPLICATIONS THAT QUALIFY FOR REDUCED MEALS WILL RECEIVE FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH. We want to help your child eat healthy meals at school. When children eat a healthy, balanced diet, studies have shown that they enjoy the benefits of improved attentiveness and cognition, and have more energy to perform their best.
- Applications are used to match funding our school receives for resources for students such as books and classroom furniture.
The application is easy to fill out and easy to understand. Also, you do not have to worry about your information being shared with others because application information is CONFIDENTIAL. Students who receive free and reduced price meals are not identified. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the school’s front office. Some parents are concerned about listing income amounts and social security numbers on the application. Any personal information you provide will not be shared.Your information will only be used to determine your child’s eligibility for the school meal programs.
Please take a few minutes to fill out this form so that your child may qualify for these important benefits.
